Our quickest blade, the Trident Ultra is designed for paddlers who want a high cadence paddle style and competitive SUP’ers that need a smaller blade. The blade has the smallest surface of any performance paddle on the market.

This Trident Ultra is the perfect paddle if you want efficiency and quick strokes with maximum torque and low swing weight. It has the smallest blade, but transfers much more power and forward motion through the stroke than many paddles with larger blades. Being adjustable also makes this a versatile design.

The wide point of the paddle is not at the tip but in the middle of the paddle. By moving the wide point off the tip of the blade we eliminate the inefficient pear shape and distribute the pressure evenly across the face as the stroke is initiated. This creates a smooth power and eliminates “flutter” because it eliminates tip loading and blade rotation across its axis at the strokes initiation.

The curve you see at the top of the paddle face increases back pressure on the blade and torque through your stroke. Placement of this camber at the top of the paddle is critical to performance and power transfer.

The Trident Ultra adjustable paddles have a round shaft that is more forgiving than our oval shafts. While not as efficient as our competitive and stiff oval shafts for transferring power, these round shafts are easier on elbow and shoulder joints due to their flex. The weights are comparable to the oval competition shafts and more powerful than other branded paddles in their class.
